Hi
I am following the Gaea 1.2 and Glacier Terrain Breakdown tutorial on youtube. I have Gaea 1.2.1.7
I have replicated all the parameters, and the output is completely identical, until
- At 23.21, when I plug in the Lake Depth in the Color Production graph, I see a 100% black output instead of the grayscale mask. I have to add a Auto-Level node to obtain a grayscale mask and it still looks a bit different.
- After this each time I use a Recurve node I see different result.
Right now I am texturing the water at 24.22 in the video and the combination of displacement/recurve node (with ""Shaper" set at -97) is giving me a completely different outcome. I can also see that the node itself has changed a bit from the one you can see in the tutorial. Moreover the displacement node when I use High Quality (liek in the video) gives a vastly different output (it is actually closer to the tutorial when high quality is disabled).
Am I doing something wrong? Does it depend form the change in version? Why is the autolevel needed? How can I use the displacement and recurve node correctly?
