Hello!
One of the biggest problems for me is working on a large landscape and not knowing how it will look when built.
Many of the nodes still look quite different when built on different resolutions, so even using 4k preview it will not match an 8k or 16k build output.
If we could define a crop area and work on just that, it would help with both the resolution dependence problem and preview speed. If I could work on a 2km x 2km crop of a 16km x16km landscape in 2k preview resolution, it would both be fast and the output should pretty much match a 16k build output. (If things work as I think they do)
At the moment I could Transform a cropped area to fill the whole work area, but it would then be the wrong size in km and the output would be wrong as many nodes take the km size into account. Maybe that could be counteracted by changing the world size in Terrain Definition, but that sounds a bit scary and cumbersome to keep track of.
Having a crop option that would take care of all this would be great!
