Obj2Heightfeild is a wonderful addition to Gaea.. but I hate the impreciseness of it and the destructive workflow.
I think there is also a bug where the capture shifts the projection maybe 200m in one axis (Z?).. I can frame it perfectly in the preview window and then my terrain in Gaea is cutoff by a 5-10%, a significant portion. I then have to go back and start from scratch and guess how to correct for the 200m shift.
This all goes back to the idea that OBJ2Heightfeild should be a NODE in the graph you can tweak at any stage of creation.. and edit the transforms, scale, rotation etc.
It would also be handy to have some auto scale options to fill the terrain with your mesh since I think a lot of people will use Gaea as a terrain enhancer not just from scratch.
It would be great to have some real world "scale" tools in the OBJ2Heightfeild node/interface as personally the first test I did was bringing in some Lidar data that I wanted to enhance and it came in as this tiny thing using a fraction of the terrain space.
