I have an issue that's been buging me for a while now, and I'm kinda stuck since last week. I don't know if it's a bug or not, but here it is :
When I export an heightmap from a node (let's say a "combine" node), the heightmap it creates does not look like what was on Gaea in the first place. It seems like some people have had the same issue, but I can't find a solution.
On UE 5.2, the map looks flattened, and the water mask does not fit with the new exported heightmap anymore. And even the water mask seems to change in the export process.
I've used the 4033 resolution for UE, and I tried all formats. PNG seems like it is the less flattened, but still…
Even if I change the height scale of the created map on UE5 (created based on the exported 4033 PNG heightmap), it isn't the same as the one on Gaea.
And when I try to import back the map on Gaea, I have to "raise" the imported map by 1.95, and even then, the map has been modified.
Is this normal, or is there a solution I'm not aware of ?
I'll be really thankful of anyone helping me, I'm struggling…
