I have been trying to make some exports from Gaea to Unreal that require fairly high precision. But when exporting from Gaea the results always seem to be anywhere from 10cm to 1m off of what I am expecting. I made a test sample png in World Machine which I then imported into gaea and immediately exporting back out again as png. The result from Gaea appears to have some filtering done to it and so I don't receive back the exact height data I put in. The results can manifest as noticeable artifacts on terrain when imported to unreal engine.
Here you can see the border of this test square appears to get slightly blurred.
And here is how that artifacting manifests once imported into unreal.
Here is a heavily zoomed in perfect hard edged sample square made in World Machine. After being run through Gaea the edges of the square are no longer perfectly sharp. The second image is rendered at 4096 and the third at 4033. The 4033 example is noticeably worse than the 4096 example. Any advice as what I am observing?
